8-Week Therapeutic Prenatal Yoga Series

About:

Past studies have shown that the therapeutic effects of prenatal yoga have the following results:

- Help to reduce pelvic floor discomfort
- Improve mental conditions related to stress
- May help facilitate an easier labor and delivery
- Aid in postnatal rehabilitation

Throughout our sessions we will experientially learn about the interconnectedness of our mind & body. We will learn techniques to facilitate more physical ease while fully supporting you in maintaining a healthy pregnancy. We will also cover key educational areas to help empower you in trusting your instinctive wisdom to prepare for labor and delivery.

Prior to meeting, you will fill out a brief intake form where I will learn about your medical history and current goals to help steer our sessions. Our first session will include conversation, breath work and some movement. Follow-up sessions will cover a different topic each week while continuing to prioritize your primary goals. I also provide a follow-up email including a recording of the class (valid for 7 days) and poses and key areas to work on between sessions.

We will cover topics such as: core support to aid posture & breath, pelvic floor toning & support, relationship between pelvis and feet, thoracic mobility, myofascial release and more!

Props that are recommended for class: yoga mat, 2 blocks, 1-2 blankets, 1-2 pillows or bolsters, 2 myofascial release balls or tennis balls and 1 strap or belt. We may not use them all every week, but I recommend having them on hand.
